How does the shopping cart work?
As you are browsing through the product catalog, simply click the "Add to Cart" button on any product, making sure you have all necessary options chosen. The shopping cart stores your product choices for the duration of your visit at IPI's website.

How do I remove items from the Shopping Cart?
Simply change the quantity of an item to "0" and click "Update Cart" at the bottom right of the product list.

How long will items stay in the Shopping Cart?
Your shopping cart will only remain active as long as you are actively browsing the IPI web site. If your close your browser program, your shopping cart items will be lost. If you leave the IPI website or stop browsing, your items may only stay in your cart for 20 minutes.

After I've added items to the Shopping Cart, how do I check out?
Click the "Checkout" link. You'll be asked to sign in or sign up for a web site account. You'll then be taken to the checkout page where you'll be asked to enter your billing and shipping information to complete your order.

Does the total displayed in the Shopping Cart include shipping and taxes?
No, the total displayed in the Shopping Cart only includes the base cost of the items in your Shopping Cart. After your order is processed with the IPI plant you will receive an Order Acknowledgement that will reflect the total cost of your order.

What will the shipping charges be on my order?

• Furniture Orders shipping within Iowa: Shipping is free on any furniture order over $1,000. For furniture orders under $1,000, a shipping charge of 10% of the order total ($8.50 minimum) will be added to the order.
• Chemicals/Filters/Plastics Orders shipping within Iowa: Shipping is free on on orders of these products over $500. For orders under $500, a shipping charge of 10% of the order total ($8.50 minimum) will be added to the order.
• Office & School Apparel Orders shipping with Iowa: Shipping Charges will apply to all Office & School Apparel orders. Charges will be dependent on several factors including type of items ordered, quantity of items ordered and your location within Iowa. A shipping quote will be provided to you upon receipt of your order.
• Textiles Orders shipping within Iowa: Shipping is free on on orders of these products over $500. For orders under $500, a shipping charge of 10% of the order total ($8.50 minimum) will be added to the order.
• Print Orders shipping within Iowa: Shipping is free on on orders of these products over $350. For orders under $350, a shipping charge of 10% of the order total ($8.50 minimum) will be added to the order.
• Sign Orders shipping within Iowa: Shipping is free on on orders of these products over $750. For orders under $750, a shipping charge of 10% of the order total ($8.50 minimum) will be added to the order.
• License Plate/Engraving Orders shipping within Iowa: Shipping is free on on orders of these products over $350. For orders under $350, a shipping charge of 10% of the order total ($8.50 minimum) will be added to the order.
• Orders shipping outside of Iowa: For all orders shipping to an address outside the state of Iowa, IPI will provide a freight estimate based upon the size and weight of the order.

My company is not located in Iowa. Can I purchase IPI products?
The same eligibility requirements apply to all organizations or individuals whether they are located in Iowa or another state. Out-of-state customers will be expected to prepay for orders plus all shipping charges before the order is put in production or pulled from stock and finally shipped. Out-of-state customers will be required to contact the Correctional Industries program in their home state to see if they can fulfill the order before IPI will accept the order. A list of Industries programs and web sites can be found on NCIA's web site.

What happens to my order after I submit it?
An IPI staff member will review your to determine your eligibility to purchase IPI products and to ensure we have all necessary information to process the order. You will be contacted if we need to verify any details about your order.

Will I be billed for my purchases or do I have to place it on a credit card?
IPI does not accept credit cards. The accepted methods of payment are by purchase orders for qualified organizations or personal checks. IPI reserves the right to request payment in advance for any order. You will be informed of how you may pay for your order when it is processed.

How long will it take to receive my order?
The majority of IPI products are made-to-order. Therefore, delivery times depend on the several factors such as the product, how busy the plants are, and our delivery schedule. Generally, we try to deliver within 6 weeks, but some products may take longer.
