Signs: No Smoking
Iowa's Smokefree Air Act will be effective July 1, 2008, and includes
specific language requiring the posting of signs (Section 142D.6).
To summarize this section, a no smoking sign must be posted at:
- every entrance to a public place/place of employment
where smoking is not allowed
- and at every entrance to outdoor areas where smoking
is not allowed
Signs must comply with the requirements of the Smokefree Air Act.
Please visit the Iowa
Smokefree Air Act web site for specific code language.
