What does IPI do?

Among Iowa Prison Industries' major product lines are signs and markers, wood and metal furniture, custom woodworking, furniture restoration, housekeeping & laundry supplies, garments and textiles, graphic arts and printing, license plates, vehicle marking, Braille production, tourism telemarketing, moving & installation, surplus property, document archiving, modular systems and seating.

Outside sales representatives and a sales manager market these products. A business office at Anamosa provides accounting, receivables, payables, and purchasing services to all plants, and produces monthly income statements and balance sheets.

IPI maintains two warehouses and a fleet of trucks that deliver our products to customers throughout Iowa.

We take pride in meeting your needs, and at the same time providing rehabilitative services to inmates of Iowa’s correctional institutions.
